I recently viewed the Ameritron factory tour.

In this web video, Mr. Hood held up an MRF150 transistor and stated, &quot;It says M/A-COM, on it, but Motorola actually makes it.&quot;

This is not correct.

M/A-COM in Torrance, California, makes the MRF150, as well as many other &quot;MRF Industrial Avionics Transistors&quot; previously made by Motorola.

M/A-COM purchased this product line - including all semiconductor die masks, and other materials and properties, and took over manufacturing of these transistors from Motorola in 2001. Motorola no longer makes these transistors, including the MRF150.
